You can't imagine how giddy this makes me!
I was extremely honored that Ringo agreed to be my first interviewee for my Parenting with Rockstars project. I met with him backstage before his show with the 10th All Starr Band at Mohegan Sun last weekend, and we had a lovely chat about kids, when he first held his son, and growing up listening to music. He's such a sweetheart, I could have talked with him for hours, but alas, 20+ minutes with a touring Beatle is a really generous gift.
It will be a while before I edit and post the whole interview, but I couldn't resist sharing this Starr-studded introduction.

Congrats, Jen ! I sent a (MySpace) email to Franz Ferdinand / Alex Kapranos a few days ago, trying to draw some attention to your Cooking /RS project, and here you pop up with freakin' Ringo as your first guest on the Parenting project ! Sounds like a great start, good luck with it.
p.s. - I think it's about time Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson tied the knot. Given their respective backgrounds, it sounds like one of those fairy-tale type pairings.
